About Jute, Luxury Interior Design Studio | Jute Interior Design

At Jute, we create elevated spaces grounded in wellness

Our beautifully approachable spaces are crafted with an emphasis on form and a connection to nature. We believe in comfortable interiors thoughtfully layered with bespoke furnishings, handmade details, and one-of-a-kind pieces chosen with care. Utilizing natural materials, responsible methods, and artisanal techniques, we design homes that honor the environment and prioritize longevity.

Specializing in new builds and remodels, we aim for a welcoming feel, fusing the character of custom furnishings and antiques with a deep understanding of how people inhabit a space. In projects ranging from Carmel seaside escapes to San Francisco family homes to Sonoma County wineries, every aspect is carefully considered to create a healthy atmosphere that’s mindful, restful, and functional. The result: clean, customized spaces tailored to fit your lifestyle and optimized for your well-being.

Ali Davin leads Jute with an art-centric ethos and love for antiques. After beginning her career at the J. Paul Getty Museum and Bonham’s auction house, she founded Jute in 2009 with studios in San Francisco and Santa Monica providing luxury interior design services rooted in a holistic design philosophy. With the goal of grounding every space in wellness, she brings decades of personally vetted materials to her projects.

Jute has been featured in national and international publications including Architectural Digest, Elle Decoration, and Luxe. Ali is the author of Live Natural: A Relaxed Approach to Creating Healthy Homes, and her Sustainable Design column appeared in Rue Magazine.
